London: Chatto and Windus, 1932. Phoenix Library Edition (Reprint of the 1928 pocket format; originally published 1919). Includes early theatrical comedies by the Winnie-the-Pooh author, including "The Boy Comes Home," "Belinda," "Wurzel-Flummery," "The Lucky One," and "The Red Feather."
Binding: Good to Very Good condition. The dark teal cloth boards display an embossed bird emblem centralized to the front panel. The spine is exceptionally well-preserved, featuring the highly collectible and iconic Art Deco gold gilt floral patterns designed specifically for Chatto & Windus's Phoenix Library series. The gilt remains beautifully bright and sharp with minimal rubbing to the extremities.
Interior: Good condition. The text block is internally complete, clean, and free of heavy foxing or major blemishes. The internal binding shows some light loosening and surface shaking towards the center signatures, but it remains fully intact and holds together well.
