The boy lies in bed with his little dog. 

'' Sleep tight, sweet dreams,'' says his mum. But the boy can't get to sleep. He has just moved to new town with his parents. He thinks: I wonder if I'll ever have any friends? I don't know anyone here. his thoughts turn into dark clouds that fill the room. Suddenly, two headlights light up the darkness. And there, on his bedroom floor, stands big shinny steam locomotive, chuffing and snorting.
