Published jointly by Berlingske Forlag and The Andersen Museum in Odense Denmark to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the author's birth.
Just 1000 copies printed. Highly sought after for its 33 distinctive black-and-white art illustrations and vignettes by Marlie Brande. House in the publisher's original protective grey card slipcase.
Binding: Very good. The oversized stiff grey paper wrappers are clean and sound, showing only light edge creasing and uniform subtle toning near the outer spine tips. The binding is firm and solid.
Interior: Fine. The pages remain entirely uncut and upopened along the top edges, preserving the book in its pristine, unread state. The interior paper stock is completely bright, crisp and clean.
Slipcase: Good. The matching grey card slipcase is intact and structurally secure with some discolouring and minor surfact scuffing and light shelf wear to the edges.
