Step into a world of fairytales with illustrator Lauren O’Hara for a magical interactive event! Enjoy a read-along of Once Upon a… Fairytale (Macmillan). Young storytellers will also get the chance to invent their own tale for Lauren to illustrate, and finish by crafting their very own fairytale hero. Perfect for creative kids who love stories, drawing, and making their own adventures.
Lauren O’Hara is an illustrator originally from the North of England, now based in Dublin. Her work has been published by Macmillan, Puffin, Penguin Random House USA, Thames and Hudson and Walker Books.
She has two books publishing in 2026: Mei Mei the Bunny (2026), published by Penguin Random House USA and written by two-time Grammy Award winner Laufey; and Once Upon a Stolen Sleigh (2026), published by Macmillan and written by Natalia O’Hara.
She have been twice nominated for the Kate Greenaway Medal for Madame Badobedah (2021) and Hortense and the Shadow (2022), and has received the Illustrators’ Ireland KPMG Illustration Honour Award for Frindleswylde (2019), and has been twice shortlisted for the World Illustration Awards.
